VENICE, Italy—November 13, 2009—Big Nerd Ranch CEO Aaron Hillegass to lead iPhone reality show in Italy.
Aaron Hillegass, CEO of Big Nerd Ranch in Atlanta, GA, has been chosen to lead a group of international software developers in a week-long project to create a new social iPhone application beginning December 6th. Funded by Command Guru, an Italian software development company, this application will enable users to stay in contact with friends or connect to new ones all over the world. Once approved by Apple upon completion, this new application will be given away for free in the Apple iTunes store.
Command Guru is bringing together ten of the brightest developers from all over the world to develop this application, which Aaron will lead. Developers from the USA, Italy, Germany, Slovenia, China and New Zealand will come together and work on this project for seven consecutive days. The names of the developers will be disclosed live on the Command Guru site December 5th.
Thought to be the first event of its kind anywhere in the world, the project will be filmed for a reality television show to be broadcast across Europe. It will also be available via live stream on Command Guru's site, www.commandguru.com. Software developers will also have the opportunity to interact through the public SVN server. Source code will be available for download so developers can suggest improvements throughout the process. Daily Twitter updates will accompany the live video feed.
